15 is a tumultuous age for many, but Jin's world changed when he reached 15. Warned by a sixth sense, Jun knew her time was short; she told Jin who his father was and what happened. She told him to go to his grandfather, meglomaniac Heihachi Mishima, if anything ever happened to her. Jin understood nothing, but agreed.

Ogre confronted Jun in her forest one afternoon; she cried for Jin to flee, but he attacked Ogre and was knocked unconcious. When Jin awoke his mother was dead. Jin went to Heihachi as he said he would and was welcomed by the old man. Jin's story confirmed what Heihachi's servants had told him; Ogre was collecting the souls of great fighters. Heihachi determined to host a third Iron Fist Tournament to attract Ogre and capture his power. He trained Jin to fight in the Tournament and when he felt he was ready he announced the fight to the world. Jin entered the Tournament to face Ogre once again and get revenge for his mother.

Ever since Heihachi's betrayal, Jin has loathed everything about himself. His Mishima bloodline, his fighting style, the Devil gene in his blood, everything. He left Mishima high to unlearn the Mishima-ryu fighting and disappeared...Jin's thoughts burn with the desire to destroy the evil Mishima bloodline, the bloodline of his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, and his father, Kazuya.

Jin is incredibly serious. Brought up in the forest, he has a great appreciation for nature. His mother endowed him with a stillness which gives him great balance as a fighter. However, a volcano lives within him - one fueled by darkness and revenge. Jin must tame his own inner demons in order to truly win...
